ALGC FITNESS 2024 SUMMER GOALS!

KATRINA BURTON: ADULT FITNESS COACH/TRAINER

 

Katrina has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. She has taught multiple group fitness classes including circuit training, HITT, cycling, yoga, and aerobics. Working in a wellness facility, she created 1 on 1 exercise and nutrition plans for individuals to improve overall health. As a mom of two, she has learned to rebuild her body through postpartum. With experience in group fitness, personal training, training for triathlons and running races, she is able to help a wide spectrum of individuals. She is passionate about overall wellness and creating habits that help you feel strong and confident in your own skin. She is passionate about making fitness and nutrition exciting and something to look forward to. She enjoys working with people and helping them accomplish their health and wellness goals to feel empowered and strong.

Beginner Mobility - Strength- Sculpting Classes

Beginner Mobility - Strength- Sculpting Classes

 

Beginner Mobility - Strength - Sculpting Class: $60 

Tues 6:30-7:30 pm

Thurs 7:15-8:15 am

This class is geared for anyone starting their fitness or strength training journey. As we age, our body becomes less flexible which can increase injury or pain. Increasing flexibility can help lower stress, increase strength, and improve overall health. This class is designed to increase flexibility of joints to be able to perform a wide range of movements. Using body weight movements, this class will be a combination of yoga, pilates, calisthenics and strength training to help tone muscles. The goal of this class is to increase strength, build confidence, try new things and show how movement is medicine for the soul. 

Recommended items for class:

Yoga mat, pilates ball, and resistance bands 

The trainer will show alternative movements if recommended items are not used. 

Depending on class size, some resistance bands will be provided. 

This is a 6-week class. Participants are able to attend morning and evening classes.


Once a week option is available in our online portal if needed or a combination of classes

Beginner Strength Fitness Class: $60

Tuesday 7:15-8:15 am

Thursday 6:30-7:30 pm

This class is geared for anyone starting their fitness or strength training journey. The program is designed to become comfortable with weight training by slowly progressing each week. This program will help you feel strong and tone your muscles. Building muscle can transform your health, change body composition,  help with weight loss, speed up metabolism,and  improve balance.  Each class will  be different and show a variety of workout options. The goal of this class is to increase strength, build confidence, try new things and show how movement is medicine for the soul. 

Recommended items for class: 

Light, medium and heavy dumbbells and/or resistance bands.

The trainer will show body weight movements to still get a great workout, if you do not have weights. 

Depending on class size, some weights may be provided. 

This is a 6-week class. Participants are able to attend morning and evening classes.
